The Bank of Sierra Leone has issued a press statement today, Monday, 27 November 2023, announcing modifications to banking hours in response to the recently implemented nationwide curfew from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Effective immediately, until further notice, the operating hours for Commercial Banks, Community Banks, and Microfinance Institutions are amended as follows:
BANKING HOURS:
Commercial Banks, Community Banks, and Microfinance Institutions: 9:00AM – 2:30PM
BANK OF SIERRA LEONE: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Banks and Public)
RTGS OPERATING HOURS: 9:00 AM – 4:00PM
ACH OPERATING HOURS: 9:00 AM – 2: 00 PM
