FREETOWN, Sierra Leone – Former Manchester United midfielder Anderson Luís de Abreu Oliveira has sparked excitement in Sierra Leone’s capital with his recent visit.
The Brazilian football legend, known for his time at Old Trafford where he won four Premier League titles and the 2008 Champions League, surprised locals by getting a fresh haircut at T.I CUTZ barbershop and partying at Chapter One Nightclub.
Anderson stopped by T.I CUTZ, a popular spot at 24 Regent Road near Short Street P.Z., for a quick trim that had fans buzzing. Shop owner T.I shared photos online, calling it a “legendary” moment that boosted the business.
The highlight came at Chapter One’s “Sunday Night Club” event, organized with Sierra Leonean artist Rahim Sahid of Red Flag Movement and influencer Delvid Stanley-Coker. Anderson danced and mingled with crowds, creating a mix of sports and music vibes.
Social media lit up with posts like one from fan Samba Samuel Bundeh: “We come our brother, from another mother. Once a red is always a red.”
