Freetown, Sierra Leone – May 1, 2026 – Renowned Sierra Leonean rapper King Boss LA (Alhaji Amadu Bah) has released a touching Letter of Appreciation to President Julius Maada Bio, just hours after being relieved of his duties as the country’s first Peace Ambassador.
In the letter dated today, May 1st, 2026, King Boss LA expressed deep gratitude for the honour of serving as Sierra Leone’s inaugural Peace Ambassador.
“I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible honor of being appointed as the first Peace Ambassador of Sierra Leone,” the letter reads. “This distinguished appointment is a demonstration of your unwavering commitment to fostering peace, unity, and youth empowerment within our beloved nation.”
The artist described his time in the role as “an enriching and inspiring journey” that gave him the opportunity to contribute to peacebuilding initiatives and promote the core values that unite Sierra Leoneans.
He praised President Bio’s leadership and vision for creating an environment where peace can flourish.
King Boss LA also reaffirmed his commitment to national cohesion, stating:
“Rest assured, I remain committed to supporting the ongoing efforts toward national cohesion and harmony, and I am eager to continue working towards a more peaceful Sierra Leone in whatever capacity I can serve.”
In a show of sportsmanship, the rapper extended warm congratulations to his successor, Abu Bakar S Turay (popularly known as Shady Baby), who was recently appointed as the new Peace Ambassador.
“I also wish to extend my sincere congratulations to Mr. Abu Bakar S Turay on his recent appointment as the new Peace Ambassador. I am confident that his devotion and assurance will significantly contribute to our collective efforts to foster lasting peace across the country,” the letter stated.
The message concluded with King Boss LA thanking President Bio once again, describing his commitment to peace and progress as “a beacon of hope for us all.”
The development comes shortly after reports that King Boss LA was replaced in the honorary position. Despite the change, the rapper’s letter strikes a positive and gracious tone, highlighting maturity and continued dedication to the cause of peace in Sierra Leone.
