In a shocking turn of events, the Ferry Junction community in Freetown, Sierra Leone, is grappling with the untimely demise of nineteen-year-old Alfread Akmed Marrah.
The young man, a first-year student at the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), was discovered deceased in the early hours of March 11, 2023.
According to reports, Marrah’s mother, Madam Mariam Kabba, currently residing in New York, USA, received the distressing news. Marrah, formerly a resident of Ferry Junction, was found lifeless in a certain dustbin at the Ferry Junction axis.
It is alleged that Marrah was invited by one of his male friends for a night of leisure. However, to the dismay of his relatives, Marrah never returned home. The whereabouts of the friend who extended the invitation remain unknown, with reports indicating that he is now on the run.
ASP Michael Kelly Dumbuya, urging the public for assistance, stated, “Other relevant information reaching me cannot be disclosed for security reasons.”
Marrah’s body has been transferred to the Connaught Hospital’s mortuary, while law enforcement agencies conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
