In a recent development, Musa Kamara Morison, Abdulai Laborers, and Ibrahim Kejemeh Dauda, a kekeh rider, were remanded at the Male Correctional Center on Pademba Road in Freetown by Magistrate Santigie Bangura.
They stand accused of involvement in the death of Alouysh Deen Tarawallie, widely known as Arata.
The accused individuals appeared in court for the first time on Monday, September 18, 2023, facing charges of Conspiracy to Commit Murder and Murder.
During the court proceedings, no pleas were entered, and no legal representation was provided for the accused.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sorie Conteh, informed the court that none of the prosecution’s witnesses were present. Consequently, Magistrate Santigie Bangura ordered the remand of the accused persons and scheduled the next court appearance for September 29, 2023.
In a separate development related to the alleged death of Arata, musicians Edward Wright, known by his stage name Kontri Boss, and Soloman Kass-Marrah, popularly known as Kass of the LXG group, have been granted bail pending investigations. Both artists were detained on Sunday in connection with the incident.
Survival Record, the label representing Kontri Boss, released a statement confirming the artists’ release and addressing the matter’s legal handling.
The statement urged the public to avoid spreading rumors that could misrepresent the situation.
Survival Record clarified that Soloman Kass-Marrah, also known as Kass, is not a signed artist to their label but collaborates closely with them. They expressed gratitude to well-wishers who supported their artists and partners during this challenging time.
