A Sierra Leonean woman, Mariama Bah, 32, was tragically murdered by her husband, Hassana Jalloh, 55, in Columbus, Ohio, United States.
Jalloh is now facing aggravated murder charges for the crime.
The incident occurred on Thursday morning at the couple’s home. According to reports, Jalloh allegedly used a knife and a hammer to kill Mariama Bah before calling 911.
Columbus police responded to the domestic violence call just before 9:20 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Bah unconscious, suffering from blunt force injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene by medics at 9:37 a.m.
Hassana Jalloh, a resident of the address and the victim’s husband, has been charged with aggravated murder and premeditated aggravated murder.
Court documents reveal that Jalloh admitted to the killing, stating that he waited for their children to leave for school before committing the act.
The couple, believed to be originally from Sierra Leone, are now at the center of an ongoing investigation as authorities work to uncover more details surrounding the tragic incident.
