Freetown, Sierra Leone – Mary Yei Yongai, one of Sierra Leone’s leading cosmetic artists, has officially been named a Guinness World Record holder for completing the most cosmetic makeovers in a 24-hour period.
The announcement was made today by the Guinness World Records Management Team.
The team expressed their excitement in a statement, saying, “We are thrilled to inform you that your application for the most cosmetic makeovers in 24 hours (one artist) has been successful. You are now the Guinness World Records Title Holder. Congratulations, you are officially amazing!”
Yongai’s extraordinary accomplishment, which took place at Bintumani car park in Freetown, surpassed a record that had stood for nearly two decades.
Her dedication and skill were evident as she worked tirelessly to reach the goal, drawing support from local fans and global admirers alike.
Currently enrolled at the Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire Academy, Yongai is part of a group of over 20 university students undergoing rigorous training in ethical and balanced journalism.
Her record-breaking achievement not only highlights her artistic talent but also positions her as a rising star in Sierra Leone’s creative industry.
The recognition from Guinness World Records adds to her growing influence, making her a symbol of excellence and perseverance in her field.
