A Sierra Leonean-born Maryland resident serving with the Maryland State Police Kalilu Musa Marrah has been recognized for outstanding service, receiving three awards during a ceremony held on Wednesday, March 11, at the La Plata Barrack.
The event, which brought together officers, families, and community members, celebrated excellence, dedication, and commitment within the force. The honoree, originally from Sierra Leone, was commended for exemplary performance, professionalism, and contributions to public safety in the state of Maryland.
According to officials, the awards reflect not only individual achievement but also the growing diversity and strength within the department. Colleagues described Kalilu Musa Marrah as disciplined, community-oriented, and a role model for both fellow officers and aspiring law enforcement professionals.
