Leader of Sierra Leone’s main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) Party, Dr. Mathew Wilson Samura Kamara, Saidu Nallo, Foday Vahfomba Bawoh, Adikali F. Suma, Dr. Samura Kamara, Kandeh F. B Kamara and Jules S. Davis are set to make another appearance in court today Friday 5 January, 2024 at the High Court of Sierra Leone.
This revelation was made through a media advisory issued by the Judiciary of Sierra Leone on Thursday.
It reads:
“MEDIA ADVISORY: TAKE NOTICE that the ACC Case The State Vs Saidu Nallo & others before Justice Adrian Fisher, comes up tomorrow, Friday 5th Jan. 2024.
TIME: 10:30am
VENUE: Main Law Courts Building, F/T.
The proceedings will be aired Live on SLBC, AYV, Star Television and FTN.”
Dr. Samura Kamara is standing trial on corruption allegations of misappropriation of public funds.
It was alleged by the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) that Dr. Samura Kamara misled the principal and misappropriated public funds meant for the renovation of Sierra Leone’s Chancery Building in New York when he was Sierra Leone’s Minister of Foreign Affairs in the previous APC administration years ago.
The former foreign affairs minister is also being accused of misleading the principal.
Dr. Samura Kamara has many times denied the allegations claiming that the case was politically motivated to smear his image and reputation.
