In a formal communication issued by the office of the presidency, Mr. Mohamed Rahman Swaray, the Minister of Employment, Labour, and Social Security, has been appointed to serve as the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Sierra Leone.
The appointment was made by His Excellency the President, in response to the absence of both the substantive Minister and Deputy Minister from the jurisdiction of Sierra Leone.
According to the official letter addressed to Mr. Swaray from Dr. Julius F. Sandy, Secretary to the President, the appointment will remain in effect until the return of the substantive Minister or Deputy Minister to Sierra Leone.

The government of Sierra Leone remains committed to maintaining strong diplomatic relations and international cooperation, even in the absence of key officials within the Ministry.
