The Sierra Leone Police (SLP), through the Aberdeen Police Division, has apprehended two suspects and recovered a quantity of substances believed to be Kush, along with other items, during an intelligence-led operation on Sunday, 23 August 2026.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of the Local Unit Commander (LUC), CSP Mrs Zainab M’balu Cline Thomas, following credible intelligence about a makeshift structure behind Kabba Garage, Aberdeen, purportedly being used for the processing and distribution of suspected Kush.
Acting on this intelligence, police officers raided the location and arrested Mohamed Sheku Kamara and his fiancée, Isata Kamara, both of Back of Kabba Garage, Aberdeen, Freetown.
The following suspected narcotics and related items were recovered:
– 645 pink wraps of substance suspected to be Kush;
– 203 blue wraps of substance suspected to be Kush;
– 10 sachets of substance suspected to be Kush;
– Two pairs of scissors;
– One weighing scale;
– One blender;
– A quantity of rolling papers; and
– A quantity of Gold Seal cigarettes.
The LUC has ordered that the suspects, along with the suspected narcotics and other confiscated items, be transferred to the Transnational Organised Crime Unit (TOCU) for further investigation.
The Sierra Leone Police continue to urge members of the public to provide timely and credible information that can assist in combating drug-related and other organised crimes.
