A senior Liberian immigration officer has been arrested in Sierra Leone after authorities allegedly discovered a large quantity of Tramadol in his possession.
The officer, identified as Randy P. Z. Tuweh, a deputy border patrol commander with the Liberia Immigration Service, was detained on March 14, 2026, in the border town of Jendema.
According to reports, Tuweh was apprehended by Sierra Leonean drug enforcement agents during an operation in the area.
Officials allege that he was found with approximately 600 strips of Tramadol.
Authorities have placed the officer in custody while investigations continue. He is currently being held on suspicion of drug trafficking.
