In a recent public notice, authorities in Sierra Leone have highlighted a significant breach of national security regulations.
Private Security Companies (PSCs) that lack valid licenses to operate within the country have been listed, implicating them for violating the National Security and Central Intelligence Act of 2023 (NSCIA. 2023). This act unequivocally stipulates that any individual, group, or corporate entity wishing to provide private security services in Sierra Leone must obtain an official license from the Office of National Security (ONS).
The following companies have been identified as operating without the necessary licenses:

- KM Security Agency
- Heritage General Services
- Effiong Security Agency
- Special Security Services (SL) Ltd

The public, as well as leaders of various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, are strongly cautioned against engaging the services of any PSC that lacks a valid license issued by the ONS.
