Freetown – In a significant development for Sierra Leone’s mining and engineering sectors, Africa’s largest mining conglomerate, Bravura A.S., has officially commenced operations in the country and is calling for qualified professionals to join its team.
The company is currently recruiting geologists, mining engineers, and mechanical engineers as it begins full-scale operations. This move marks a promising opportunity for local professionals in the industry and signals Bravura’s commitment to tapping into Sierra Leone’s mineral potential.
Bravura Sierra Leone’s Country Representative, Mr. Fassally Tarawally, confirmed the announcement and encouraged interested candidates to submit their CVs directly to the company’s office at 10 Walpole Street, Freetown.
“We are excited to begin operations in Sierra Leone. This recruitment is part of our broader plan to invest in local talent and infrastructure,” Mr. Tarawally stated.
He further noted that Bravura’s mining consortium has already made significant progress in Zimbabwe, with ongoing operations boosted by the acquisition of platinum mining equipment and the construction of a dense media separation plant for lithium extraction.
Industry watchers say the entry of Bravura into Sierra Leone’s mining sector is likely to boost employment, technology transfer, and revenue generation in the coming years.
