Freetown, February 25, 2025 – In a move aimed at addressing Sierra Leone’s ongoing energy challenges, President Julius Maada Bio has appointed two deputy ministers to the Ministry of Energy.
The appointments, announced in a public notice from State House, signal the government’s commitment to improving electricity access and power sector regulation.
The newly appointed officials are; Ing. Edmond Nonie as Deputy Minister (1), and Dr. Abdul Rahim Jalloh as Deputy Minister (2) of the Ministry of Energy.
Their roles will be crucial in supporting the government’s efforts to expand energy infrastructure, enhance service delivery, and address the frequent power shortages that have affected businesses and households across the country.
