State House, Freetown – October 31, 2025: Sierra Leone’s President, Julius Maada Bio has announced several new appointments to strategic national institutions, pending parliamentary approval where necessary.
According to a public notice from the Office of the President, the following individuals have been appointed:
1. Mr. John V. Rogers – Director General, National Disaster Management Agency
2. Sulaiman B. Sowa (Esq.) – Deputy Director General, National Disaster Management Agency
3. Dr. Susan Roberts – Deputy Commissioner, National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA)
4. Mr. Noah Mansaray – Chairman, Sierra Leone National Shipping Agency
5. Mr. Gideon Gbappy – Board Member, Sierra Leone National Shipping Agency
The appointments are part of President Bio’s continued efforts to strengthen leadership and enhance efficiency within key public sector institutions.
