Freetown, Sierra Leone — The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has announced plans to sell a high-end seaside property, along with two other expansive residential assets, through public auction or private treaty as part of efforts to recover billions of Leones lost to corruption at the National Revenue Authority (NRA).
According to the ACC, the properties were identified as unexplained wealth following investigations into corrupt practices linked to the NRA. The planned sale is being carried out under a court order, authorising the Commission to dispose of the assets and return the proceeds to the people of Sierra Leone.
The flagship property, described as one of the most modern and finely constructed homes in the country, is a fully furnished three-storey residence fitted with advanced electronic security systems, smart home technology, and premium interior finishes.
The house includes a penthouse that offers sweeping panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean from both the bedroom and lounge areas.
Additional features include a spacious reception area, a sophisticated poolside setting, and well-designed staff quarters, all reflecting contemporary architectural standards and meticulous craftsmanship.
The ACC noted that a reserve price will be set after a professional valuation is conducted. Interested investors with verifiable and legitimate sources of funds have been invited to prepare offers ahead of the auction or private negotiation process.
The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to asset recovery as a key pillar of the fight against corruption, stressing that proceeds from the sale will be promptly paid into the Consolidated Fund for the benefit of citizens.
