Freetown, Sierra Leone — Sierra Leonean artist Abubakarr S. Turay, popularly known as Shady Baby, has expressed deep gratitude after being appointed as the newest Peace Ambassador by the Office of the Peace Ambassador Sierra Leone.
In a formal message, Shady Baby gave glory to God for sustaining him and extended his profound appreciation to President Brigadier General (Rtd) Julius Maada Bio for the trust placed in him.
“I receive this honor with humility and profound gratitude,” he stated. “I make this solemn promise: I will discharge this responsibility with utmost dedication, precision, and honor, always striving to make you and our great nation proud.”
He also thanked fellow artists, the Turay family, bloggers, media personalities, and his fans worldwide for their support, describing the milestone as a collective achievement.
“The journey continues, and the best is yet to come,” Shady Baby added.
The appointment recognizes the artist’s influence and potential to promote peace and national unity.
