The CID of Waterloo Police Station is investigating the death of 30-year-old Samuel Conteh, a motor mechanic of Kamara Lane off Benguema Road, Waterloo, whose lifeless body was found hanging on a rope tied to a mango tree at his house.
Family members of the deceased revealed that they received several telephone calls from Samuel Conteh days before his death threatening to kill himself after his wife, Yetta, abandoned him.
The corpse of the deceased is at the Connaught Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
In another development, the Local Unit Commander of the Waterloo Police Division, CSP Mr. Ibrahim Mohamed Sama, has installed 16 Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras at the Waterloo Police Station/Divisional Headquarters to “enhance security and transparency” in the operations of the Waterloo Police.
This development follows the provision of free internet/wifi facilities, a standby power-generator machine, and the installation of brand-new Easy solar panels, and bulbs for the provision of uninterrupted power supply/electricity to the Waterloo Police Divisional Headquarters “for ease of administrative and operational convenience” of the Waterloo Police personnel.
