In a recent incident of sheep theft at Yams Farm, Waterloo, the Waterloo Police have successfully apprehended two suspects involved in the crime.
The stolen female sheep was swiftly reunited with its rightful owner, Ibrahim Kamara of Soso Town, Yams Farm.
The two young men, whose identities have not been disclosed, were caught attempting to sell the stolen sheep at Gbeyshan Market, along Old Railway Line, Waterloo.
They are currently in custody at the Waterloo Police Station pending their first appearance at the Magistrate’s Court, King Yard, Waterloo, scheduled for Monday, 31st July 2023.
In another development, the Waterloo Police have made significant progress in a case involving the murder of an unidentified adult male.
On Saturday, the 29th of July 2023, the police discovered the body of the unidentified man at Kellie Farm, Malambay Village, Waterloo.
In response, the Media Team of Waterloo Police Station took to social media, urging the public to come forward and assist in identifying the deceased. Photos of the deceased were shared to facilitate recognition.
On, July 30th, 2023, Alpha Jagitay from 5 Conteh Drive, Calaba Town, East-end of Freetown, came forward to the Waterloo Police Station, identifying himself as the “Uncle” of the deceased.
After visiting the Connaught Hospital Mortuary in Freetown, the victim was identified as 24-year-old Ibrahim Jagitay, a shop owner from Allen Town, East-end of Freetown.
The police have arrested Mohamed Sallieu Jagitay, a close friend and next-door neighbor of the deceased, in connection with the murder.
