A young woman has reportedly been stabbed in what authorities describe as a disturbing incident in the Makambo Community in Makeni, Northern Sierra Leone.
The victim, identified as Sidibiatu Bangura, is said to be a student of the Makeni Clinical Sciences.
According to reports, she was allegedly attacked by her boyfriend, Unisa John Turay, under circumstances that are still unclear.
The condition of the victim has not yet been officially disclosed, but the incident has drawn widespread attention and concern among citizens on social media.
Meanwhile, the suspect, Turay, is reportedly on the run, and efforts have reportedly been made to locate and apprehend him.
