In a late transfer window coup, West Bromwich Albion has secured the services of promising attacking midfielder Hindolo Mustapha on loan from Crystal Palace, with the deal running until the end of the 2025/26 EFL Championship season.
The 19-year-old Sierra Leonean international arrives at The Hawthorns amid high expectations, following an impressive stint with Palace’s Under-21s where he clinched the Player of the Season award in 2024/25, netting 11 goals and providing seven assists across 29 outings.
Mustapha’s journey has been nothing short of meteoric. Born in Sierra Leone and honing his skills in south London, he recently returned from a developmental loan at Bundesliga side 1. FC Nürnberg, where he gained valuable senior experience.
This move marks the Baggies’ second deadline-day addition, hot on the heels of fellow attacking talent Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba from Aston Villa, signaling manager Eric Ramsay’s intent to inject youthful flair into a squad battling in the Championship standings.
Club officials expressed delight at the acquisition, highlighting Mustapha’s versatility and goal-scoring prowess as key assets for their promotion push.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Hindolo to the Albion family,” a club statement read. “His energy and creativity will add a new dimension to our midfield.”
As West Brom navigates the rigors of the Championship, Mustapha’s arrival could prove pivotal, blending raw talent with international pedigree to spark a resurgence at the historic club.
