FREETOWN, October 3, 2023 – In an official announcement today, the Sierra Leone Football Association unveiled the provisional technical team that will lead the Leone Stars through the African Qualifiers for the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup 2026, set to kick off in November.
The newly appointed technical team is as follows:
- Amidu Karim – Head Coach
- Francis Koroma – Assistant Coach 1
- Alhaji Foray – Assistant Coach 2
- Ibrahim Swarray – Team Manager
These esteemed individuals have been entrusted with the responsibility of guiding the national team towards qualification for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Their appointments take effect immediately, as preparations intensify for the upcoming qualifiers.
The selection of this skilled and experienced team reflects the Sierra Leone Football Association’s commitment to ensuring the Leone Stars are in top form for this prestigious international competition.
Leone Stars will commence their World Cup journey with a match against Ethiopia on November 13th, 2023, followed by a home game against seven-time Africa Cup of Nations champions, Egypt, on November 21st, 2023.
