Sierra Leone’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, His Excellency Dr. Morie Komba Manyeh, proudly attended the prestigious Sovereign’s Parade at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where Officer Cadets who successfully completed the academy’s rigorous training were officially commissioned.
The event, held at the historic home of the British Army’s Officer Corps, is one of the most celebrated traditions in the British military calendar.
Among the graduating cohort of Course 243, Sierra Leone was proudly represented by Officer Cadet Umaru Mattia, who completed the academy’s demanding programme.
His graduation not only reflects personal dedication and excellence but also underscores the role of Sierra Leoneans in contributing to international military leadership and global service.
High Commissioner Dr. Manyeh’s presence at the parade reaffirmed Sierra Leone’s strong defence and diplomatic ties with the United Kingdom.
He joined other dignitaries and families in celebrating this milestone, which brought pride to the nation and recognition to Officer Cadet Mattia’s achievement.
