Gambian authorities have apprehended a Sierra Leonean national suspected in the recent murder of a British woman, as reported by the police.
The suspect has reportedly confessed to the crime, and significant evidence including a pistol, hammer, spade, money, and keys has been seized.
Additionally, the police have provided updates on the Fajara robbery incident from last week. Two individuals, one Gambian and one from Sierra Leone, have been taken into custody and are facing multiple charges.
A senior police officer, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated, “We should not be saying this but most of these crimes are committed by foreign nationals in the country. The idea of such crimes is imported too.”
This assertion underscores concerns about the involvement of foreign nationals in criminal activities within the West African nation.
