Freetown, Sierra Leone – In a public notice issued from State House, His Excellency President Brig. (Rtd) Dr. Julius Maada Bio has announced significant appointments to key positions.
Hon. Justice Komba Kamanda has been named as the new Chief Justice of Sierra Leone, a role critical to the nation’s judicial leadership and legal reforms.
Additionally, Hon. Justice Desmond Babatunde Edwards has been appointed as Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Dublin, Ireland, where he will represent the country’s interests and strengthen diplomatic ties.
The announcement, signed by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Emmanuel A.R. Gaima, underscores the administration’s commitment to ensuring effective governance and international engagement.
Both appointees bring extensive experience and expertise to their respective roles, contributing to the President’s vision for a progressive Sierra Leone.
The appointments are effective immediately.
