In a recent development, President Julius Maada Bio has announced the appointment of Dr. Edward Hinga Sandy as the new Executive Director of the National Investment Board (NIB).
Dr. Sandy, who previously served as the Minister of Trade and Industry, will take over the reins from Professor Marda Mustapha.
Professor Mustapha played a crucial role as a consultant in the Office of the Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone in 2019/2020, contributing to the establishment of the NIB, and later assumed the position of its first Executive Director in 2022.
This reshuffle comes on the heels of President Bio’s decision in July of this year to replace Edward Hinga Sandy as the Minister of Trade and Industry, appointing Ibrahim Alpha Sesay as the new head of the ministry.
These changes reflect the government’s ongoing commitment to fostering economic growth and development in Sierra Leone.
