A police constable formerly attached to the Kabala Divisional Headquarters, Mohamed Osango Marah, has been dismissed from the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) following a tribunal convened by the Complaint Discipline & Internal Investigation Department (CDIID).
Inspector Aruna M. Gbondo presided over the proceedings, which found Marah guilty of multiple disciplinary offences.
Marah’s dismissal stems from charges including wounding with intent, failure to comply with standing orders issued by the Inspector-General of Police, and conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline. Following his dismissal, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) pressed criminal charges against him.
He has appeared multiple times before the Kabala Magistrate Court on charges of wounding with intent, wounding, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Prosecuted by Sergeant 3435 Kargbo S., Magistrate Hadiru Daboh has committed the case to the High Court for further hearing.
