Kailahun District, Sierra Leone – Residents of Penguia Chiefdom have been left in shock after a man, identified as Mohamed Kargbo, allegedly murdered his wife and disposed of her body in a pit latrine.
The incident, which has devastated the local community, has left the couple’s five children without their mother.
After days of searching, community authorities discovered the decomposing remains of the victim, raising more questions about the motive behind the gruesome act.
Local police have since launched an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the tragic incident.
