KKY says Ambassador Alimamy Bangura should hands off Kambia politics because, he was (is) under police investigation for his alleged involvement in a cocaine trafficking scandal in Guinea, Conakry. Is that enough to stop d man from playing local politics in Kambia district where he is the elected SLPP District Chairman?
Did Donald Trump stop campaigning for the Presidency of the United States of America even after his conviction for falsifying business records and the payment of hush money? KKY should just leave Ambassador Alimamy Bangura alone!
Some key SLPP stakeholders still see KKY as politically unreliable. At a time when the SLPP and Brig. (Rtd) Julius Maada Bio needed him, he was no where to be seen. He abandoned the SLPP and formed the NGC. Even during the 2018 run off elections, KKY refused to publicly endorse Brig (Rtd) Julius Maada Bio and the SLPP.
In 2023, he refused to dissolve his NGC party. He insisted on the formation of an alliance with d SLPP instead of dissolving his NGC party.
The Kambia people (his own people) rejected him in 2023. Even in his own constituency, he was floored by the APC’s Parliamentary candidate. KKY’s time in politics has passed.
It is only the magnanimous President Dr Julius Maada Bio that is trying to make KKY politically relevant again. KKY should be glad that, President Bio is not a vindictive leader. He should have ended his political career from d time he brought him closer to him at State House and made him a Super Minister.
Ambassador Alimamy Bangura suffered greatly for the SLPP. KKY is one of the biggest beneficiaries of the Bio-led SLPP administration. He should be grateful to those who sacrificed their time, energy and resources to return the SLPP to power in 2018 and 2023.
KKY should stop talking down party faithful. He should be grateful to President Bio who is fighting to resurrect his crumbling political career.
At the appropriate time, some of us will come out openly and tell SLPP members and supporters that, this great party should not forget those who fought and sacrificed their time and resources to make it electable especially in 2018.
Whether one likes it or not, some of us still believe that, President Dr Julius Maada Bio should be credited for winning two successive elections in a row for the SLPP. That’s no mean feat.
KKY, stop bringing down party faithful! If you cannot bring yourself down to appreciate them, you should not be disrespectful to them.
Your recent video outburst against your younger brother from Kambia district, Ambassador Alimamy Bangura, was ill-advised and untimely.
As you know, politics is not for the faint-hearted.
