Energy Sector Lead,Dr. Kandeh Yumkella,has held a maiden meeting with the two new Deputy Ministers of Energy in Ing. Edmond Nonie,who was recently promoted from Deputy Minister 2 to 1, and Dr. Abdul Rahim Jalloh, who was recently appointed Deputy Minister 2.
Dr. Yumkella congratulated Ing. Nonie and Dr. Jalloh on their promotion and appointment in that order. He stressed the need for effective collaboration as they all bend over backwards to realize President Bio’s energy sovereignty aspirations.
Deputy Ministers 1 & 2 praised Dr. Yumkella for his exemplary leadership qualities and his genuine quest to sustainably transform the sector and provide reliable electricity nationwide.
The two deputy ministers have or boast of wealth of experience in the sector and appear cut out for the task that lies ahead.
With the energy sector and the Feed Salone agenda being inextricably linked,reforms continue in the sector.
