In a major operation conducted on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, the Sea Cooperation Project (SEACOP) team, comprising various enforcement agencies, including Customs, Anti Corruption Commission, Sierra Leone Police, and others, executed a thorough inspection of two containers at the Queen Elizabeth II Quay.
The investigation yielded significant findings:
– Container No. 1 concealed One Hundred (100) packets, each suspected to be 1 Kilogram of dried leaves believed to be Kush, cleverly hidden in suitcases and a plastic container.
– Container No. 2 revealed a cache of contraband:
– Ten (10) packets, each believed to contain 1 kilogram of suspected Kush.
– Six (6) small bottles of liquid, suspected to be precursor chemicals.
– Eight (8) gallons, each containing Five (5) liters of liquid, also suspected to be precursor chemicals.
– Additionally, ten (10) more packets of suspected Kush, two (2) giant paper bags containing 10 kilograms each, one (1) black plastic bag of shredded leaves believed to be Kush, and fifteen (15) small white plastic bags labeled Tapiokaperlen 400g were found.
Following the operation, six suspects have been apprehended and are currently aiding authorities in their investigations.

The Sierra Leone Ports and Harbour Authority (SLPHA) has sealed and secured the containers pending further actions.
