In a fervent Facebook post, Sierra Leone’s First Lady, Fatima Bio, expressed her dismay over a recent social media video in which Leone Stars player, Mohamed Buya Turay, used abusive language towards his wife, Suad Baydoun.
“Mohamed Buya Turay, I have been your greatest fan, but today you lost me completely. Your wife must be respected at all times. This is a national disgrace,” she emphasized.
The ongoing confusion in the marriage of the renowned Sierra Leonean footballer and his wife, has escalated as Turay took to social media to verbally attack his mother-in-law.
In a viral video clip, Turay unleashed a barrage of abusive words directed at his wife, revealing the intense disagreements they had earlier. He claimed that his wife had splashed milk all over him following an altercation, and in response, he retaliated with similarly abusive language.
In the video, Turay displayed the evidence of the milk incident on his body while explaining the sequence of events. Shockingly, he proceeded to verbally assault his wife’s mother.
Despite their marriage earlier in July last year, the couple has faced ongoing tensions, highlighted by Buya Turay deleting all photos of his wife on social media after she gave birth to their child. Speculations about relationship strains arose, suggesting that the child may not be his own. However, recent DNA test results have confirmed the child’s paternity.
Mohamed Buya Turay might just have one of the most understanding Leone Stars players currently but the recent feud with his wife has divided fans and citizens opinions of him.
The 28-year-old recently joined Swedish top division side Malmo from Chinese Super League outfit Henan Songshan Longmen.
