Freetown – The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has allocated a total of US$200,000 to support the Men’s and Women’s Premier League Boards as they prepare for the 2026/2027 season.
According to a press release issued on Friday, 18 September 2026, the SLFA provided US$100,000 each to the Men’s Premier League Board and the Women’s Premier League Board. The funds are intended to assist with operational and administrative preparations before the league kicks off.
The new season is scheduled to begin on 10 October 2026.
The association, under the leadership of President Babadi Kamara, reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening domestic football and ensuring a well-organised and successful league campaign.
“The financial support is intended to assist both Boards with their operational and administrative preparations ahead of the start of the season,” the statement noted.
The SLFA also extended best wishes to both boards, participating teams, and all stakeholders for a successful 2026/2027 season.
