Freetown – Sierra Leonean entrepreneur and seasoned business strategist Joe Abass Bangura has been named the new Managing Director of Sierratel, one of the country’s pioneering telecommunications companies.
Bangura, a qualified Chartered Accountant and serial entrepreneur, is widely recognized for his dynamic leadership style and for hosting the popular motivational and lifestyle program “Life by Design.”
He brings extensive experience in business turnaround, corporate strategy, and sustainable growth to the role.
The appointment was welcomed by industry stakeholders, with Africell CEO Shadi Gerjawi expressing strong confidence in Bangura’s vision.
“Mr. Bangura’s proven expertise in business leadership and strategic development positions him perfectly to drive innovation and reposition Sierratel in Sierra Leone’s fast-evolving telecommunications landscape,” Gerjawi said.
