In a heart-wrenching incident that has shocked the nation, an eight-year-old pupil at Filmond Preparatory School passed away on Saturday at the Cottage Hospital. The young girl’s death follows allegations of sexual abuse and poisoning by her teacher, Mr. James Kamara, leaving the community in mourning and demanding justice.
The tragic events began when the child was allegedly sexually assaulted by Mr. Kamara in the school’s bathroom.
Reports indicate that after the assault, Mr. Kamara threatened the child with death if she disclosed the incident to her parents.
The horror did not end there. On Tuesday, it is alleged that Mr. Kamara attempted another assault and subsequently gave the child a poisoned drink. The following day, she was taken to the hospital for a medical check-up, where doctors discovered she had been both poisoned and raped.
The child, the only child of her parents, endured unimaginable suffering before her untimely death. Her inhumane treatment has left her family devastated and traumatized. The community has rallied around them, offering support and demanding swift action against the perpetrator.
The case has sparked widespread outrage, with calls for stringent measures to protect children and ensure such heinous acts are met with the full force of the law.
James Kamara, the teacher accused of these horrific crimes, is now in police custody. Authorities have disclosed that he will be charged in court on Monday. The legal proceedings are being closely watched by the public, who are calling for justice for the young girl and her family.
This case has highlighted the urgent need for stronger safeguards in schools to protect children from abuse and ensure their safety.
This tragic death serves as a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities children face and the critical importance of safeguarding their well-being. The community’s response underscores a collective demand for justice and systemic changes to prevent such atrocities in the future.
As the nation mourns the loss of a young life, there is a renewed commitment to protecting children and ensuring that those who harm them are held accountable.

Because there is no enough punishment for perpetrators people still take the chance to commit crimes and go away. It’s sad ,may her soul rest in peace
