Six young people living under the Juba Bridge have been given a new lease on life, thanks to a compassionate initiative led by the Minister of Youth Affairs, Mr. Ibrahim Sannoh.
After a recent visit to the bridge community, Minister Sannoh pledged to support vulnerable youth with urgent medical care. True to his word, that promise has now been fulfilled: Alie Forster, Rosamond, Smart Kanu, Yusufu Turay, and Ibrahim Jalloh are receiving critical medical treatment tailored to their needs, with support expected to continue for the next three to six months.
Beyond medicine, this support means renewed hope and a sense of inclusion for youth who often feel forgotten.
Their treatment stands as a symbol of the kind of leadership Sierra Leone’s young people need — one that listens, acts, and stands by their side.
Minister Sannoh’s commitment is a powerful reminder that every youth deserves a chance to grow and thrive.
