The Sierra Leone Police Eastern Division has carried out a targeted operation in the Susan’s Bay community, Tripoli area, leading to the arrest of six suspected drug dealers believed to be involved in the sale of Kush.
According to police sources, the raid was conducted as part of ongoing efforts to combat the growing distribution of illegal drugs within the community.
During the operation, officers apprehended Wilson Techam Kao, who was reportedly found in possession of 95 wraps of suspected Kush. Daniel Mohamed Kamara was allegedly caught with 81 wraps, while Osman Sulaiman Bangura was found with loose quantities of the suspected substance.
Police also arrested Dauda Munu, who was allegedly carrying 180 wraps of suspected Kush. Hassan Kamara was found with 40 wraps, and Abdulai Ebonda was reportedly in possession of 36 wraps of the suspected drug.
Authorities confirmed that all recovered substances have been secured and registered as exhibits and will undergo forensic analysis as part of the investigation.
The six suspects have since been handed over to the Transnational Organized Crime Unit (TOCU) for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The police say the operation forms part of continued efforts to clamp down on illegal drug activities across communities in Freetown.
