The Sierra Leone Police in Kenema have arrested several individuals suspected of involvement in drug-related activities during an ongoing crackdown dubbed “Operation Safe Street.”
The operation, spearheaded by Chief Superintendent Bob Musa Mansaray, is aimed at dismantling illegal drug networks across the city.
Acting on intelligence, officers conducted coordinated raids in various locations, leading to the arrest of multiple suspects and the seizure of a significant quantity of illicit drugs and related items.
According to police sources, the arrests mark a major breakthrough in efforts to combat the growing drug problem in Kenema. Investigations are currently underway to determine the full extent of the suspects’ involvement and to identify other members of the criminal network.
The police have vowed to sustain the operation until all drug trafficking activities are eradicated, assuring residents that law and order will be fully restored in the city.
