Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio is set to deliver the Presidential Address on the Occasion of the State Opening of the 1st Session of the 6th Parliament of the 2nd Republic.
The event will take place at the Parliament chambers in Freetown on August 3rd, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.
The State Opening marks the commencement of the First Session after the conclusive outcome of the June 24th General Elections.
“Fellow Sierra Leoneans, I invite you all to join me tomorrow, Thursday, 3RD August 2023, as we stand on the cusp of a new era, filled with optimism and determination, as I deliver the Presidential Address on the Occasion of the State Opening of the 1ST Session of the 6TH Parliament of the 2ND Republic at the hollowed chambers of the #SierraLeone Parliament,” President Bio posted on X, formally Twitter.
Security measures, including thorough screening, will be in place, and only invited guests will have access to the Parliament precincts.
