In a significant development, President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone has announced the appointment of Mr. Abdul Malik Tejan-Sie as the new Director of the Directorate of Science, Technology, and Innovation (DSTI).

Notably, he is credited with developing South Africa’s first operational humanoid robot and is the visionary founder of the prestigious African School of Technology.
