With only 10 weeks remaining until COP28, a crucial climate conference, Mayor Aki-Sawyerr revealed that she had received an invitation from UN Special Envoy for Climate Action, Philanthropist, and former Mayor of New York, Mike Bloomberg.
She gladly accepted this invitation to speak at a press conference alongside other Climate Action leaders.
Mayor Aki-Sawyerr expressed her enthusiasm after hearing Dr. Sultan al Jaber, President Designate of COP28 from the UAE, announce a groundbreaking development. For the first time in the history of COP conferences, COP28 would include a 2-day Localization Action Summit.
