Freetown, Sierra Leone – April 12, 2026 – The Presidential Hajj Task Force (PHTF) of Sierra Leone has released a public notice detailing travel arrangements and an upcoming nationwide outreach tour for intending pilgrims to the 2026 Hajj in the Holy Land of Makkah.
The notice, issued from the Old Gym House at the Bank of Sierra Leone Complex in Kingtom, Freetown, highlights the government’s efforts to modernize the Hajj process through a digital system. This initiative aims to improve information flow, ease, and efficiency for pilgrims while ensuring full compliance with Saudi Arabia’s digital platform requirements.
According to the notice, the PHTF Outreach Team will embark on a four-day regional tour starting Saturday, 11th April 2026, and ending on Tuesday, 14th April 2026. The tour seeks to engage with registered and medically screened pilgrims who have completed the official processes at the Hajj Secretariat in Freetown.

The primary objectives of the outreach include:
– Sharing vital information on Hajj with stakeholders and 2026 intending pilgrims.
– Providing guidance on proper handling and management of travel documents and protocols.
– Verifying records, including passports, for all registered and fully screened pilgrims.
– Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations mandated by Saudi Arabian authorities.
– Educating pilgrims on the social and spiritual ethics of Hajj.
– Informing the public about the upcoming 2027 Hajj process.
The notice strongly urges all registered and medically screened 2026 intending pilgrims to attend one of the meetings most convenient to them based on proximity.
For pilgrims residing in the Western Area (including Freetown), the Hajj Secretariat encourages the submission of required documents, particularly passports, between 16th and 19th April 2026.
