Freetown, Sierra Leone — The Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE), has announced the release of third-term school subsidies for the 2023/2024 academic year.
Funds are now being allocated to schools across the country, aiming to support key areas in education.
This latest subsidy, facilitated by the Ministry of Finance, will help schools address essential needs, such as purchasing educational materials, maintaining infrastructure, and ensuring overall smooth operations within classrooms.
In a recent address, Minister Sackey extended sincere appreciation to school heads, educators, and community members for their patience and unwavering dedication to advancing quality education.
“Your commitment is inspiring,” he remarked, acknowledging the critical contributions of educators in strengthening Sierra Leone’s educational framework.
The Ministry of Finance also assured stakeholders of its efforts to prevent future delays in disbursements, emphasizing a goal of consistent and timely support for educational institutions nationwide.
