MAKENI, 13th October 2026 – The All People’s Congress (APC) has finally set a date for the conduct of its outstanding constituency elections in four constituencies in the North-East.
In a Public Notice issued today by the National Secretariat, the party announced that elections for Constituencies 044, 050, 065, and 066 will be held on Thursday, 15th October, 2026.
According to the notice, the polls will take place at the APC Regional Headquarters in Makeni, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The Secretariat said the announcement is for the attention of all aspirants, delegates, stakeholders, party members and the general public.
“All concerned aspirants, duly accredited delegates, and relevant stakeholders are advised to take note of the scheduled date, venue, and time and make the necessary preparations to ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of the elections,” the notice stated.
The party confirmed that it has formally notified the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) and the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) for their information and necessary action.
The Secretariat also urged all parties to cooperate with the party’s Interim Electoral Management Committee (IEMC) and to respect the APC Constitution and all electoral rules and regulations to ensure the process is peaceful, transparent and orderly.
The announcement is expected to bring to a close the party’s protracted lower-level elections, which have faced several delays across the country.
