FREETOWN — 12-time Sierra Leone Premier League champions East End Lions have announced the signing of Egyptian winger Magdy Gamal Fouda.
The club confirmed the deal on Thursday, describing Fouda as a dynamic left-winger who will add attacking quality to the Killers’ squad.
Fouda, 26, joins from the Egyptian football system where he previously featured for Petrojet FC in the Egyptian Premier League, as well as Sporting Castle (Sporting Club) and Al Nassr FC in the lower divisions.
Known for his excellent ball control, strength, pace and dribbling ability, the Egyptian is expected to boost Lions’ options on the flanks as they push for the 2026/27 Sierra Leone Premier League title.
He becomes the latest foreign addition to the league this season, following a growing trend of Premier League clubs recruiting from West Africa, North Africa and Europe to strengthen their squads.
The Killers finished last season in the top three and are currently rebuilding under its new executive. They have been active in the transfer market ahead of the new season which kicks off later this month.
The club said Fouda has already joined team training at the Trade Centre Field in the East End of Freetown.
