History is set to be made on Monday, 17th November 2025, as the Chairman of the West Africa Police Chiefs Committee (WAPCCO) and Inspector General of Police, William Fayia Sellu, prepares to receive and host the Police Chief of the Liberia National Police, Honourable Gregory O.W. Coleman, and the Inspector General of the Gambia Police Force, Mr Seedy Muctar Touray.
This landmark visit marks the first time police chiefs from other West African countries will jointly visit Sierra Leone under the leadership of IGP Sellu. The development underscores his unwavering commitment to transforming the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) and strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fight against organised crime and other cross-border security threats within the sub-region
The visit by the Liberian and Gambian Police Chiefs is expected to deepen existing security ties, enhance intelligence-sharing, and solidify collaborative efforts aimed at safeguarding regional stability.
Further details of their engagements will be communicated as Sierra Leoneans eagerly await the arrival of the two visiting police chiefs.
