Freetown, 6th November 2025 – Officers attached to the Calaba Town Police Station have arrested a suspect and seized forty-five (45) kilograms of dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis Sativa during an intelligence-led operation at Hastings.
The operation, which took place at about 11:00 a.m., was led by the Officer Commanding Calaba Town Police Station, ASP Saccoh Kabbie Kharr, following credible intelligence received about illegal drug activity in the area.
During the raid at the residence of Ali Kanu of No. 42 Hastings, officers discovered and confiscated the large quantity of dried leaves believed to be Cannabis Sativa.
The suspect, along with the exhibits, has been transferred to the Freetown East Regional Headquarters for further investigation.
