Freetown, Sierra Leone — Police in the Freetown West Region have confiscated six containers of suspected kush in a major anti-drug operation conducted on Monday, 24 November 2025.
According to authorities, officers recovered three barrels and three cartons of dried leaves believed to be kush during an intelligence-led sweep across several locations.
Two of the barrels were found in a Serena vehicle with registration ALA-080, while another barrel was intercepted from a Toyota taxi near Adonkia Cemetery in Goderich. The three cartons were later discovered at a nearby residence.
The driver of the Serena vehicle, Yussif Sesay, and a man he identified as Abdul Rahman Sesay have been arrested. The taxi driver and a woman linked to the residence remain at large.
Police say the seized exhibits have been secured and will undergo forensic testing, describing the haul as a significant disruption to kush trafficking in Freetown West.
