The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has signed a landmark partnership agreement with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) to strengthen football development and cooperation between the two countries.
The deal was signed on Monday, 17 August 2026, in Rabat, Morocco, by SLFA President Mr. Babadí Kamara and FRMF President Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa.
Under the agreement, the two federations will work together on training for technical and administrative staff, referee development, youth football programmes, friendly matches, and football workshops.
A key benefit for Sierra Leone is support for football infrastructure, including the establishment of a technical training ground in a vulnerable community. Morocco will also host SLFA technical and administrative personnel for training and observation programmes and provide access to specialised sports injury hospital facilities.
The partners further agreed to organise friendly matches involving senior and youth national teams for both men and women.
The partnership will run for an initial two years and can be renewed by mutual agreement.
The deal is expected to give Sierra Leone’s football structures valuable technical support and open new opportunities for players, coaches, referees and administrators.
